The 4th exhibition of the National Union of Pastelists of Russia is dedicated to wildlife, its beauty and diversity. The exhibition will be held ONLINE. The selected works will be displayed in the gallery on the website of the National Union of Russian Pastelists. The works of the winners will be published on the Organizer's website and social networks.

3. CATEGORIES OF EXHIBITION

  • Wild animals (excluding insects) - images of animals in their habitat and portraits. Images of pets (including domestic and semi-wild horses, etc.) are not allowed.

  • Wild Plants - Wildlife landscapes, as well as individual depictions of wild plants.

The jury is made up of professional artists, laureates and winners of international competitions. Participation in the professional jury does not allow its members to participate in the main part of the competition as authors.

6. WHO MAY TAKE PART IN THE EXHIBITION

  • Pastel painters of Russia and other countries.

  • The age of the participants is over 18 years old.

  • Judges and their relatives cannot compete for prizes, but they can exhibit their paintings out of competition.

7. REQUIREMENTS FOR PICTURES

Please read carefully to ensure that your work meets the following criteria:

  • The work should be done using dry pastel technique (at least 80% of the work should be done with dry pastel). Works made with oil pastels are not allowed to participate.

  • The work must be original. Copying of other artists' work or published material is not permitted. The use of someone else's photo is permitted only with the written permission of the author of the photo. The Participant guarantees that his Work does not violate the intellectual rights of third parties. In the event of a claim from third parties, the participant is fully responsible for his work. In the event of conflict situations, the work is withdrawn from participation in the exhibition and loses its awards.

  • The work should be done by the author from start to finish by hand, without using any mechanical, digital or photomechanical techniques.

  • All works must be completed within the last three years.

  • Works performed with a teacher in an online lesson or in a master class are not allowed.

  • The work must correspond to the specified topic and category. A job cannot participate in more than one category.

  • Work that won prizes or was marked by the jury at past exhibitions of the National Union of Pastelists of Russia are not allowed to participate

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements may result in the work not being considered. The organizer has the right to refuse to participate if the work violates the laws of the Russian Federation or human rights.

Attention! For copying other people's works, violating copyright or providing paintings made under the guidance of a teacher, the participant is removed from the opportunity to participate in NSP exhibitions for 1 year.

8. COST OF FEE FOR PARTICIPATION IN SELECTION FOR THE EXHIBITION

  • For members of the NSP, the fee is 1000 for the first job and 300 rubles for each next job.

  • For artists who are not members of the NSP, 1,500 rubles for the first work and 500 rubles each for the next.

  • Each artist can submit up to 5 works for consideration.

  • The fee must be paid no later than 08/10/2020. If the works are not selected for the exhibition, the fees will not be refunded.

9. HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

  • Decide on the number of works submitted and pay for participation in the selection.

  • Prepare files according to the requirements below, fill out an electronic application

  • Wait for the email notification.

Please follow these instructions carefully when preparing pictures of paintings:

  • The picture must be photographed without a frame, mat and foreign objects.

  • Only JPG (or JPEG) files are accepted

  • Image dimensions are at least 1800 pixels on the larger side

  • Files must be 300 dpi

  • File size no more than 10 MB

  • The file name must be written in Latin letters and separated by underscores. The file name must include the author's surname, the title of the painting (without spaces, punctuation marks and other special characters), year, size (height x width). For example, ivanov_krasnyimak_2018_30х40.jpg

  • The use of profanity in the title of the work is not allowed.

  • Diptychs and triptychs must be uploaded as one image.

Applications are accepted from 06/22/2020 to 08/10/2020.
